I anställningen ingår de arbetsuppgifter som normalt är förenade med ett lektorat inom en lärarutbildning, såsom undervisning och forskning, verksamhetsförlagd utbildning, handledning av självständigt arbete på grundnivå och avancerad nivå. Handledning och undervisning på forskarutbildningsnivå kan förekomma.

I anställningen ingår undervisning och handledning inom idrottslärans olika rörelsekulturer med särskilt fokus på rörelse och dans. Därtill ingår handledning på grund och avancerad nivå. Undervisning inom den utbildningsvetenskapliga kärnan och verksamhetsförlagd utbildning kan ingå. Till undervisning räknas även kursadministration.

Idrottslära är den utövande och praktiska idrotten med fokus på såväl didaktiska, tekniska, metodiska och estetiska lärprocesser. Idrottslära struktureras på GIH i en modell baserad på olika rörelsekulturers idéer och inre sammanhang där samspelet mellan individ och utövande av idrott är en förutsättning för förståelse och lärande.

Submissions should be theoretically and/or conceptually informed and engage with the myriad ways dance movement reflects and upholds value systems, but also how dance might shape and potentially disrupt and provoke such systems in the cultural spaces of leisure scholarship, leisure-based communities, and in popular culture.
