Stillingen er knyttet til det NFR-finansierte forskningsprosjektet EquiPETE - Co-developing an evidence-based framework for equity, diversity and inclusion in physical education teacher education. Ph.d.-kandidaten, som også kan være masterstudent fra 2026, vil ha en sentral rolle i prosjektets aksjonsforskningsaktiviteter og arbeide innenfor to sammenhengende forskningsområder som omfatter både campusbasert undervisning og praksisopplæring i skolen. Prosjektet er forankret i mixed methods-tilnærminger, og både kvalitative og kvantitative metoder kan derfor være aktuelle i kandidatens arbeid.

This study seeks to advance understanding of, and contribute to, international policy on increasing and enhancing diversity in sport leadership and recruitment. It is founded on a unique partnership between UNESCO (specifically UNESCO Sport Section) and Loughborough University. The study will also benefit from Loughborough University’s very strong research track record and infrastructure which will ensure the effective delivery of this research (e.g. UNESCO Chair, Women in Sport, Policy Unit).

Malmö University is looking for an associate senior lecturer in sport sciences with focus on sustainability at the Department of Sport Sciences, a part of the Faculty of Education and Society. Sport sciences is a multidisciplinary subject area at Malmö University, with an emphasis on the social sciences and humanities. Environmental, economic and social sustainability are important perspectives in our research profile, and they have relevance for studies of physical education in schools, sports for children and youth, professional sports and outdoor recreation.

Den aktuella doktorandtjänsten är kopplad till projektet “EASY” (Exploring Alternative movements my StYle)”, som genom en intervention undersöker hur alternativa rörelseaktiviteter kan bidra till ökad fysisk aktivitet och välbefinnande hos inaktiva barn. Projektet har en tydlig samhällsrelevans och genomförs i nära samverkan med skolor och fritidsaktörer. Forskningsplanen ska utformas i relation till det aktuella projektet och kommer att ligga till grund för bedömningen av din lämplighet för forskarstudier.

The professional field of the position as Associate Professor is Sports Science with a Social Sciences Profile. The research and teaching background of the person appointed to the position must be related to this research area, including academic perspectives from sports psychology, sports pedagogy, sports sociology, and other social science disciplines, and to the strategic focus areas of the Department.

The Ph.D. position is associated with the project “Speaking for the Horse: Participant Voice and Equestrian Wellbeing (EQUIP)”, funded by the Swedish-Norwegian Foundation for Equine Research. In collaboration with researchers from the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the project will investigate the relationship between voice behavior, organizational processes, and equine welfare in Scandinavian equestrian sports with an academic foundation in a relevant social scientific discipline.

Stillingen er knyttet til faggruppen for fysisk aktivitet og funksjonshemming ved Institutt for lærerutdanning og friluftslivsstudier. Stipendiaten skal bidra til å utvikle forskningsprosjektet «Mennesker som Oss», som undersøker holdninger og verdier relatert til inkludering av mennesker i ulike kontekster for fysisk aktivitet (e.g., rehabilitering, paraidrett, psykisk helsevern). Dette prosjektet retter seg mot skole- og kroppsøvingskonteksten, med fokus på barn og unge med funksjonshemming.

Det vitenskapelige arbeidet må dreie seg om barn i norsk idrett i tida etter 1970. Barneidrettens plass i det norske samfunnet er et underbelyst tema i idrettshistorien. Norges idrettsforbund (NIF)s ulike og reviderte barneidrettsbestemmelser i perioden fra 1976-2027, og særforbundenes og særkretsenes tilknyttede retningslinjer for sin barneidrett, trenger å bli behandlet i sin helhet, og i en bredere samfunnskontekst. Også historisk orienterte studier av barneidrett og konkurransearenaer utenfor den organiserte rammen av NIF, kan tenkes i dette PH.D.-arbeidet.

Idrottsvetenskap är ett tvärvetenskapligt ämne med egna begrepp, teorier, metoder och modeller. Det är därför avgörande att du har kunskap inom ämnet.

This PhD position is linked to the RESPONSE research group and its ongoing research profiles and invites studies of working life in sport and organisational aspects of sport. The professionalisation of sport in various national and international context has made sport an increasingly integral part of the labour market, with a growing presence of paid roles and commercial actors within the voluntary sector. This PhD position offers the opportunity to explore how shifts in the relationships among public, private, and voluntary actors impact working conditions and organisational practices in the sport field.
