Vi søker en stipendiat til et helsefremmende prosjekt knyttet til tematikken "rusbruk, psykisk helse og friluftsliv". Studier viser at stadig flere mennesker utvikler rusbrukslidelser og at rusbruk ofte er relatert til psykiske lidelser. Tidligere studier indikerer positive sammenhenger mellom friluftsliv og psykisk helse, men eksisterende forskning er likevel mangelfull.

The aim of this project is to investigate the contemporary socio-cultural construction of female identity in the sports sector through the representations of female athletes and/or female non-athletes in the coverage of men’s sport. It can draw on inter-disciplinary conceptual approaches and theoretical tools (including, but not limited to, sociology, cultural studies, human geography and politics).

The rise of women’s participation in contact sport has made gender inequity and opportunity visible in new ways through public debate about Australian cultural life. This project will provide insight into the forces driving change and identify strategies for the development of equitable policies and practices that will sustain women’s participation into the future.

Technology seems to play an ever more important role in sports and outdoor life: GPSs, pulse watches and treadmills; recognition technology such as Facebook, Strava and Instagram is increasingly being incorporated into people’s sporting and outdoor activities. Technology can be both disciplining and empowering, guiding an individual’s actions in a variety of ways.

Stipendiatstillingen inngår i seksjonens strategiske forskningsfelt "Kvinnehelse" med spesiell fokus på bekkenbunnsproblematikk i idrett. Ved SIM vil stipendiatstillingen være knyttet til et definert prosjekt som omhandler forekomst av dysfunksjon i bekkenbunnen under aktivitet, måling av funksjon, risikofaktorer og effekt av styrketrening av bekkenbunnsmusklene hos idrettsutøvere.

The position is especially relevant for candidates with a master's degree in sport science with a specialization in social sciences. Knowledge of developmental studies will be considered an advantage. The PhD candidate will collaborate with a number of individuals and institutions, why communicative skills and collaborative experience are therefore essential. Personal skills and experience will also be considered.

Anställningarna kommer att ingå i ett projekt som ska skapa forskningsbaserad kunskap utifrån vilken kvaliteten på undervisningen såväl inom lärarutbildning i idrott och hälsa som i undervisning i idrott och hälsa inom grund- och gymnasieskolan kan utvecklas.

Doktoranden kommer att anställas inom ramen för det Forte-finansierade forskningsprojektet ”Pumping up the ego. Biographical studies on young people’s doping trajectories”. Projektet handlar om unga människors in- och utträde ur dopinganvändning, och doktoranden kommer ingå i en forskargrupp vid institutionen för idrottsvetenskap vid Linnéuniversitetet i Kalmar.

GIH is offering a four-year partly UCI funded PhD studentship on evidence-based classification of para-cycling. Para-athletes are placed in categories for competition based on their impairment, called sport classes. The para-cycling classification system determines which athletes are eligible to compete in a sport and how athletes are grouped together for competition.

Forskarutbildningen i idrottsvetenskap med inriktning samhällsvetenskap och humaniora har fokus på idrottens former och betydelser i samhället i dåtid, nutid och framtid. Idrott förstås inom utbildningen som alltifrån tävlingsidrott, motions- och upplevelseidrott till idrott som skolämne samt friluftsliv och fysisk rekreation.
