The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2022 subject to final budgetary approval.
The successful candidate must have a completed PhD in a scientific discipline that incorporates human nutrition and its relation to health and human performance (RD accreditation is not required), a record of applied research excellence in human nutrition, strong communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to working effectively with individuals throughout the life span from diverse communities and cultures. Candidates will demonstrate excellence in nutritional research and proven ability to teach of undergraduate and graduate courses that include but are not limited to Nutrition for Health Living as well as Exercise and Sport Nutrition.
Research in Health, Wellness, Human Behaviour and Development are priority areas highlighted in UNB’s Strategic Plan. The Faculty of Kinesiology provides a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment for research. Current research strengths in the Faculty of Kinesiology include, but not limited to, healthy aging, obesity, chronic illness, behaviour change, and community health.
