The Academic College at Wingate is proud to host the 6th International Congress of Exercise and Sport Sciences scheduled to take place June 9-10, 2021, online. The Congress will focus on a wide range of themes related to exercise and the sport sciences, including physical activity among children, adolescents and the elderly, competitive sport and coaching, sport management, sport nutrition, sport tourism, physical education, physiology of emergency forces, social issues in sport, big data in sport, among others.
The goal of the Congress is to bring together leading professionals and researchers in the field of exercise and sport sciences, in order to stimulate discussion on the latest innovations in these areas.
The International Congress of Exercise and Sport Sciences – The Academic College at Wingate is held biannually to provide physical activity professionals with an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience. All interested professionals, students, researchers and practitioners, whether individuals or associations, from around the world are invited to participate. The Congress program includes sessions presenting original research as well as practical workshops.
Former Congresses have been attended by over thousands of participants from around the world, from Australia, Austria, Ethiopia, Romania, Spain, UK, Turkey, India, Italy, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Germany, Holland, France, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, China, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Lithuania and Latvia, among others. In these exciting encounters, researchers from almost every corner of the world engaged in scientific and social dialogue over the three days of lectures, workshops, and social events. Social events include an opening banquet, Shabbat Dinner, and a closing evening. In addition, a guided tour to an historic landmark is offered providing an opportunity for participants, especially those visiting Israel for the first time, to see the holy sites of the country.

Keynote Speakers
Five prominent scholars will join us and give keynote speeches at this year’s conference. Prof. Ramy Elitzur from University of Toronto, Canada, will lecture on the economy of sport, Prof. Bryan McCullick, from the University of Georgia, USA, will lecture on sport pedagogy, Prof. Ann MacPhail, from the University of Limerick, Ireland, will lecture on physical education teacher education, Prof. Jörg Schorer, from Oldenburg University, Germany, will discuss big data in sport, and Prof. David Thivel, from the University of Clermont-Auvergne, France, will lecture on Physiological and neurocognitive pathways involved in the nutritional adaptation to physical exercise and energy deficits. The congress program will also include various themes and topics related to sport sciences and will comprise parallel sessions, workshops, practical sessions, and poster sessions.
