While LGBTIQ people are far more accepted in sport today than in the past, there still exists bigotry and marginalization. More knowledge is needed, and now provided in the form of Vikki Kranes edited volume Sex, Gender, and Sexuality in Sport: Queer Inquiries (Routledge). It is reviewed here by our critique débutant Anna Adlwarth, and she finds much in this anthology to amend the paucity of theory and research in this field.

Sport Management Review is published as a service to sport industries worldwide. It is a multidisciplinary journal concerned with the management, marketing, and governance of sport at all levels and in all its manifestations -- whether as an entertainment, a recreation, or an occupation. The journal welcomes submissions reporting new research, new applications and advances in theory.

Just in time for the publication of Mark Brooke’s review of the Routledge Handbook of Qualitative Research in Sport and Exercise, edited by Brett Smith & Andrew C. Sparkes, Routledge chose to release the paperback edition, thereby decreasing the RRP from £190 to £40 – which is good, given that the book, according to our reviewer, is a valuable tool for social and cultural science scholars in the field of sport and exercise.

Quest is the official journal of the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE). It is the leading journal for interdisciplinary scholarship for professionals in kinesiology in higher education. Quest provides a public forum for scholarship, creative thought, and research relevant to a broad range of interests held by faculty and leaders in higher education today.
