Svenska idrottshistoriska föreningens (SVIF:s) årsskrift Idrott, historia och samhälle är ett vetenskapligt forum för idrottshistoria i Norden. ”Historia” kan tolkas brett och tidskriften välkomnar bidrag inom områden som rör sport, kroppskultur, hälsa, friluftsliv, media, genus och andra samhällsvetenskapliga och humanistiska ämnen med historiskt perspektiv.

The mission of Kinesiology Review is to advance the field of Kinesiology by publishing evaluative, insightful, and integrative scholarly reviews of kinesiology research, both basic and applied. Kinesiology Review encourages the submission of critical reviews, analysis of significant issues, position papers, and synthesis articles pertinent to kinesiology.

Sport History Review encourages the submission of scholarly articles, methodological and research notes, and commentaries. Because young scholars are critically important to the development of any discipline, SHR encourages graduate students and young professionals to submit their work for publication.

This special issue will approach the field of history of fantasy sport in a broad sense. While fundamentally historical, it will also be interdisciplinary in nature, welcoming work by scholars of sport in related disciplines, including, but not limited to, communication studies, journalism, media studies, sport management, philosophy, American studies, and law.

Scholars are invited to submit sessions including three abstracts related to the main topic, or individual abstracts on a subtopic. Abstract submission is exclusively via email. A thematic session includes three papers relating to one topic.Presenters need to be an ISHPES member to present a paper, and a person can only present one paper as first author.

This special issue will highlight institutional sport policies through a socio-historical lens. The methods organizations currently deploy to respond to challenges in sport have deep roots, shaped by the decision-makers at the local, national, and international levels. The ensuing policies therefore have also been shaped by prevailing notions of ability, class, gender, nationalism, and race.

The landscape of sport, and sport scholarship, continues to change rapidly. The Journal of Emerging Sport Studies (JESS) is committed to publishing scholarship that reflects the changing face of sport studies around the world. JESS invites submissions for its second volume of academic research and commentary in the growing field of sport studies.

Our journal will publish scholarship from across academic disciplines and welcomes unique sport perspectives from established and emerging sport scholars.

Oral history is not an easy thing to do. It is time-consuming, methodologically rigorous and its practice and dissemination have wide-ranging legal implications. The editors of the special issue, Mike Cronin and Carly Adams, are looking for articles that engage with the methodologies and challenges of oral history in a sports history setting.
