We are developing a Sports Ethics Research Group at the Faculty of Sport and PE (FTVS) at Charles University, Prague, and we are now able to offer a doctoral opportunity for research in Sports Ethics, beginning in October 2021, to join a team of 6 researchers. The scholarship is funded by Charles University and MAiSI (Master of Arts in Sports Ethics and Integrity).

Study Period:ย 3โ€“4 years
Field of study:ย Kinanthropology โ€“ Sports Ethics, especially values in sportย (and associated conceptual issues), and phenomenological approaches to sport
Topic:ย From the field of Philosophy of Sport (especially Sports Ethics)
Eligibility:ย Candidates should hold a Masters degree relevant to the proposed topic,ย and an appropriate level of English language competence.
Funding: NB.ย  Average living expenditure in Czechia is about 20,000 CZK per monthย (see:ย  https://www.studyin.cz/live-work/living-costs)
No feesย  + University scholarship of 10,000-15,000 CZK per month (about 400-600 Euros)ย + MAiSI Professional Development Internship of 10,000 CZK per month (about 400 Euros)
The successful candidate will have
โ€ข The ability to undertake independent philosophical research,
โ€ข A demonstrated interest or practical involvement in sport, and
โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication skills
