Legende træning og undervisning i boldspil [Playful training and teaching in ball games]

In this article, Lotte Stausgaard Skrubbeltrang, Anders Broe Dahl Christensen, Christian Thue Bjørndal & Niels Nygaard Rossing present two didactic tools that they have developed in connection with the research and development project “Lykkeleg” [happy play], and that can support coaches in creating playful sports activities. Inspired by Dion Sommer, they have developed a play pendulum in sports that supports coaches and teachers in considering which forms of play can and should be introduced, as well as what role the coach and teacher can play. Inspired by Roger Caillois’s four play characteristics, they have also designed a didactic tool, the play mixer, to increase and decrease the focus on play in training.. The Safe Standing Movement in Football: Fan Networks, Tactics, and Mobilisations, by Mark Turner

In his latest book The Safe Standing Movement in Football: Fan Networks, Tactics, and Mobilisations (Routledge), Mark Turner tells the important story of the social movement against all-seated stadia in football in England and Wales that developed in the wake of the Hillsborough stadium disaster. Based on his own extensive studies of supporter cultures in football, Jonas Havelund is well placed to review Turner’s book, and he recommends it for its insights into supporter activism and the phenomenon of social movements. Konkurrence, by Christian Tolstrup Jensen

In the fall of 2024, sports scientist Christian Tolstrup Jensen at Malmö University released an outwardly unremarkable book, Konkurrence (Aarhus University Press). That one should not judge a book by its appearance is made abundantly clear by Jan Ove Tangen’s long and laudatory review – it is a substantial book in terms of content. Our reviewer is “touched, excited and impressed that Jensen manages to convey such a diverse and complicated theme in such a simple and understandable way that even non-academics will be able to understand and become wiser from reading the book”.
