Friluftsliv er et betydelig samfunnsfenomen, i Norge og Norden, som vi finner igjen bl.a. i skoleverkets læringsplaner og i tilknytning til ulike dannelsesmål innenfor en lang rekke organisasjoner og offentlige virksomheter. I alle disse sammenhengene er det et stort behov for kunnskap og opplæring. Et formål med dette temanummeret er derfor å styrke friluftsliv som forskningsfelt, samt å kople friluftslivet enda sterkere til utdanningsfeltet.

Forskarprofil | Jonas Mikaels, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan (GIH)
Jonas Mikaels har disputerat i idrottsvetenskap på avhandlingen Becoming-place: (Re)conceptualising friluftsliv in the Swedish physical education and health curriculum och är lärare i friluftsliv vid GIH. Avhandlingsprojektet handlar om friluftsliv som kunskapsområde i skolan med särskilt fokus på platsbegreppets betydelse som lärobjekt i den pedagogiska friluftslivspraktiken.

Indeed, within the field, pressing issues with ethical dimensions have been discussed. Papers contributing to the special issue should seek to advance knowledge of ethics in research and practice, promote critical reflection and share good practice.
