Creating a Sustainable Sporting Future: Issues, Pathways and Opportunities
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are delighted to invite you to join us in Plymouth for the UK Sport Development Research Network (UKSDN) 2017 National Conference.
This year’s conference theme is – ‘Creating a Sustainable Sporting Future: Issues, Pathways and Opportunities ‘. We are planning a range of relevant symposia and plenary sessions that cut across the sport and physical activity debate:
- integration with the public health community
- sustaining community sport clubs
- promotion of a volunteering culture
- challenges in the rural environment
- implications for a sustainable funding strategy
- promoting inclusion
The conference will be hosted by The University of St Mark & St John, Plymouth and ActiveDevon who have worked closely in conjunction with the UKSDN in organising this year’s event.

This conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from across a broad range of Sports Development areas. We would love to hear from you if you would like to share your work with other delegates by presenting it orally or via our poster presentation session. Abstract Submission Deadline: 1 June, 2017
