Call for papers | Sport, history and society / Idrott, historia och samhälle 2020 | Deadline 2020-06-30, or possibly 2020-08-15

På svenska

Sport, history and society is a peer-reviewed academic publication of sport, leisure and recreation history seated in Sweden and Scandinavia. Its scope, however, goes beyond the borders of Scandinavia, and we publish articles in English as well as in Scandinavian languages. Sport, History and Society invites prospective contributions from across the globe.

Representing the Swedish Association for Sport History (SVIF), the yearbook publishes original articles on historical aspects of sport in a broad sense. SVIF invites scholars to contribute with articles to its yearbook. Submitted manuscripts are to be original contributions, previously unpublished in substantially similar form or with substantially similar content. Manuscripts should not be under consideration for any other yearbook/journal at the same time. The copyright for accepted articles passes over to SVIF. The editors also welcome manuscripts for publication outside the peer-review system, as well as features of debate, reviews and conference reports.

The following dates are valid for contributions:

    • Last date for submitting peer-review articles (max. 8 000 words) is June 30th 2020.
    • Last date for sending in popular scientific articles (max 5 000 words), features of debate, reviews or reports (max 1 500 words) is June 30th 2020.
