Lead the Change – Be the Change
The year 2014 is a milestone year for the global women and sport movement. The 6th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport will mark 20 years since the first IWG World Conference on Women and Sport, which brought forth the Brighton Declaration on Women and Sport (1994).
The 6th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport takes place in downtown Helsinki June 12 – 15, 2014 in Finland’s premier conference venue, Finlandia Hall under the overall theme: Lead the Change – Be the Change.
The Finnish Sports Federation has been awarded the honor of chairing the International Working Group on Women and Sport from 2010 to 2014 and arranging the 6th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport in Helsinki in 2014.
