The Department of Sport and Social Sciences has a vacant PhD position with 25% teaching responsibilities in the field of sport marketing. There is the possibility to apply for one out of two alternative predefined PhD projects. One project will be focusing on sport marketing and the digital transformation in sport, and the second on sport marketing and sustainable development. Apply no later than December 5, 2022.

Co-funded by the University of Canberra and Sport Integrity Australia, the project will support a PhD scholar to complete a doctoral research program that will seek to identify mechanisms to reduce the insidious and increasing levels of toxic abuse online and cyber hate directed at women involved in the sport industry. In this project, we broadly define cyberbullying as hurtful messages that are threatening, humiliating, or intimidating to individuals.

Doktoranden kommer att anställas inom ramen för ett forskningsprojekt som är finansierat av Familjen Kamprads stiftelse. Projektet är titulerat ”Mäns akilleshäl – en fenomenologisk och sociologisk studie av prostataproblem och maskulinitet”. Projektet handlar om hur män (65 år och äldre) förstår och beskriver hur det är att leva med prostatacancer, och hur identitet, hälsa och välbefinnande påverkas av sjukdomen och dess behandling, och vilken roll fysisk aktivitet kan spela.

Regeringen ger årligen Centrum för idrottsforskning (CIF) i uppdrag att analysera och följa upp statens stöd till idrotten. Inom ramen för detta uppdrag ingår en regelbunden och långsiktig uppföljning utifrån ett så kallat indikatorsystem. CIF söker nu en utredare med goda statiskikkunskaper och hög Excel-kompetens för denna verksamhet.

We seek a dynamic scholar to complement and enhance our existing sociocultural program. The successful candidate will be expected to teach existing courses while also developing new courses in the School that extend our curriculum in new directions. Research interests and teaching experience with any combination of sociocultural aspects of kinesiology that intersect with social justice issues (e.g., disability studies, gender studies, indigenous studies, critical race studies) and/or Olympic/Paralympic studies would be an asset.
