For some time, we have been discussing questions of power and marginalization and of a relative absence in the conferences regarding the philosophical perspectives of the disempowered. This Conference therefore aims to offer a space for dialogue around and across relations of oppression, marginalization and erasure that we hope can get us beyond the dangers of appropriation and exploitation.

Henning Eichberg passed away on the 22nd of April, 2017. His last book, Play in Philosophy and Social Thought, was posthumously published in August 2018 by Routledge, edited by Signe Højbjerre Larsen. To celebrate the publication, to remember Henning Eichberg, and to discuss his concept of and research in body culture and play, we are hosting a seminar on Friday the 2nd of November.

The Philosophical Journal of Conflict and Violence is devoted to fostering discussion at the interface of philosophy, psychiatry, psychology, anthropology and political theory. The journal welcomes original articles providing philosophical insights about topics such as conflict, war, crime, and aggression, and encompasses contributions from the history of philosophy to more interdisciplinary studies.

Ten years after the death of Bernard Suits (1925-2007), the influence of his ideas on the philosophy of sport is still very strong. This special issue of Sport, Ethics, and Philosophy is dedicated to philosophical and moral questions related to Bernard Suit’s legacy. We welcome in particular papers dealing with new ideas and interpretations of Suits.

This conference hopes to continue an epistemological and paradigmatic bridge-building. We therefore seek proposals for papers to be presented at the conference. There is no set theme for the conference and the Academic Committee will consider all proposals. In the past, the range has been wide and we seek to continue this.

This workshop aims to unite the various strands of work on the philosophy of games. Furthermore, the workshop aims to unite the discussion of the many forms of games, including videogames, sports, board games, card games, role playing games, and more.

Reason Papers: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Normative Studies is soliciting contributions for a Spring 2016 symposium on normative issues in play.
