The International Review for the Sociology of Sport is a peer reviewed academic journal. Its main purpose is to disseminate research and scholarship on sport throughout the international academic community. The journal publishes research articles of varying lengths, from standard length research papers to shorter reports and commentary, as well as book and media reviews.

The European Journal for Sport and Society is the official journal of the European Association for Sociology of Sport, EASS. Its function is to enable an international discussion about current issues and to foster collaboration between researchers from all social scientific sub-disciplines. It’s published 4 times per year.

Annals of Leisure Research publishes refereed articles which promote the development of research and scholarship in leisure studies. Annals is aimed at an international readership and seeks theoretical or applied articles which cover any topic within the broad area of leisure studies.

Äntligen, menar Anders Östnäs, finns en idrottsvetenskaplig metodbok som utgår från den skandinaviska idrottspraktiken. Han syftar på Metoder i idrætsforskning, sammanställd av Lone Friis Thing och Laila Susanne Ottesen.

Äntligen! frestas man utbrista. En grundbok i idrottssociologi på skandinavisk botten. Antologin Grundbog i idrætssociologi, sammanställd av Lone Friis Thing och Ulrik Wagner, är just det, även om, som Arve Hjelseth påpekar in sin i stort sett positiva recension, den ibland blir exklusivt dansk.
