The Division of Sport Science of Örebro University and the French Institute in Sweden – French Embassy in Sweden will organize in April 22 & 23, 2024 an International Research conference in Sport Sciences. The conference will be an opportunity for senior and younger researchers in Sport Science from France, Sweden and other countries to present and discuss their work.

The symposium programme consists of dozens of presentations by top sports scientists from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Participants will hear about the latest research in sports coaching and their practical applications. The main themes of this year's multidisciplinary symposium are athlete growth and development, strength training, nutrition, team sports, sports technology and skills training.

The aim of the conference is to bring together academics and researchers of all areas of sports. Participants can present on sports topics within broad streams of research areas. Also, special sessions will be organized for individual sports (soccer, football, baseball, basketball, handball, ice hockey, tennis, car racing, gymnastics etc). Consistent with the theme of ATINER’s small academic events, all programs may include a few sessions on current topics in education and research.

We encourage research papers and training approaches based on integrating different disciplines applied in Sport Science to enhance sport performance to be submitted to the conference. Expect presentations on the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Sport Science. This annual international event brings together teachers, research fellows and PhD students of Universities and higher education institutions from the Baltic States and other countries. The conference offers a platform for participants to share and learn about the latest research findings and achievements and to build partnership networks for future research projects. Hopefully, the format of the conference encourages academic discussions and interaction between the participants and leading scientists invited to deliver keynote presentations.

The aim of the conference is to share knowledge on the relation of human movement to cognitive function. The focus this year, among other things, will be on the Brain-Gut connection and Movement, Development and Aging, the Neuropsychology of cognitive-motor interaction (evaluation and treatment), Physical Education as a tool for cognitive improvement, Gender issues in Movement and Cognition and other focus areas.

The Congress will focus on a wide range of themes related to exercise and the sport sciences, including sports management, sports psychology, Olympic education, physiology, social issues in sport, public health issues, sports pedagogy, physiology of emergency forces, social issues in sport,  and sport nutrition, among others.

We will be happy hosting researchers, educators, graduate students and professionals from all over the world to present papers at the Physical Education, Sports, Recreation and Dance Symposium in İstanbul, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
