The aim of the conference is to bring together academics and researchers of all areas of sports. Participants can present on sports topics within broad streams of research areas. Areas of interest include (but are not confined to): the Impacts of Olympic Games, Professional Sports, Sports Law, Sports Communication, Sports & Media, Sports & Society, Sport Psychology, Sports & Ethics, Sport Technology, Sports History.

The goal of the Congress is to bring together leading professionals and researchers in the field of exercise and sport sciences, in order to stimulate discussion on the latest innovations in these areas. The Congress will focus on a wide range of themes related to exercise and the sport sciences, including physical activity among children, adolescents and the elderly, competitive sport and coaching, sport management, sport nutrition, sport tourism, physical education, among others.

This conference will have an international focus and aims to bring together practitioners and academics from a range of disciplines to allow discussions and debates of issues surrounding women’s participation in sport, exercise and physical activity. There will be an emphasis on redressing the balance through both assessing impact and highlighting future implications for practice.

The aim of this midterm conference is to bring scholars, researchers, educators, students, professionals, and other groups interested in sports and physical activity to propose their works. The focus lays in the challenges that sociology of sports and physical activity have to face to understand the new complex scenarios, the main issues we have to face, the successes, the criticalities and the lessons learned, the new horizons of our understandings of the social and cultural landscapes.

We invite a multidisciplinary audience. Those with expertise in philosophy, ethics, environmentalism, law, sport, recreation, leisure, and other fields are encouraged to participate with the understanding that the conference theme is focused on ethics and the interplay of sports and animals. Submissions are welcome from all academics, including graduate students and freelance writers. 

We invite empirical, theoretical and methodological papers from postgraduate students, early-career researchers, established academics and practitioners that address and interrogate, from a critical and global perspective, cultural, social, political and experiential frameworks of sport. Contributions from disciplines of public policy, sociology, politics, economics, anthropology, cultural studies, history, communication, law and psychology are welcome.

We invite Sport&EU members and non-members to submit paper and/or panel proposals that analyse the three broad pillars of EU Sport Policy as defined in the current work plan: Economic impact of sport, social inclusion in and through sport, and sport integrity. Contributions from diverse disciplines (law, politics, social sciences, philosophy etc.) are accepted, and interdisciplinary papers are encouraged.

Institutionen för idrottsvetenskap vid Malmö universitet har nöjet att bjuda in till en idrottsvetenskaplig digital seminarieserie den 18–20 november 2020 som en försmak på SVEBI-konferensen 2021. Vi ser seminariet som ett tillfälle för det idrottsvetenskapliga forskarnätverket att utbyta erfarenheter trots att den årliga SVEBI-konferensen inte kan arrangeras som vanligt i år till följd av coronapandemin.

The aim of the conference is to support coaches to build their capacity to be adaptable. During the two-day online conference, 20 speakers will make links to the theme of adapting, connecting, creating and communicating as they cover topics ranging from athlete wellbeing, the elite coaching space, athlete voice, youth sport, and Māori and Pacific sporting experiences.

Canadian Association for Leisure Studies (CALS) is hosting its 16th Canadian Congress on Leisure Research (CCLR) online, due to the on-going global COVID-19 pandemiAs set out in the TALS/ANZALS/CALS/LARASA/LSA/AEME Joint Charge Statement in June of 2020, it is time to respond to the “greater need to tackle the …ways that leisure conscripts oppression onto the Other” as well as to understand how “leisure can also resist that conscription”.
