Kroppsøvingskonferansen gjennomføres 3. og 4. juni 2021. Konferansen gjennomføres digitalt p.g.a. koronasituasjonen. Hensikten med konferansen er å samles rundt ny forskning, utveksle erfaringer og etablere nye nettverk. Målgruppe for konferansen er lærere som underviser i kroppsøving og idrettsfag og ansatte og studenter ved høgskoler og universitet. Du er velkommen til å sende inn ditt abstrakt på norsk, svensk eller dansk.

In the field of sport studies in the Nordic region, important contributions have pointed to the persistence of gender as a key organising principle and symbolic practice, at both the elite and grassroots levels. The main focus of academic work on sport and in/exclusion has tended to focus on gender and/or ethnicity as the primary markers of difference and sameness. In this, questions of racism and coloniality have largely been overlooked, and left underexplored.

The football world in Turkey presents complex peculiarities that are very difficult to understand for neutral observers. Born into the final years of the Ottoman Empire, football not only witnessed the birth of a new, modern nation-state, from day one, it became a vital part of Turkish modernism, along with other key concepts such as nationalism or secularism. Football has also become a battlefield for political, social and cultural divisions, which makes the case of Turkey even more appealing for football scholars. 

The majority of children in the Nordic countries are members of a sport association. In this conference we will focus on continuity and change in child and youth sport, as well as similarities and differences between the Nordic Countries. The conference is hosted by the Norwegian Research Centre for Children and Youth Sport and will be held over two days. On the first day, invited speakers from the nordic countries will present and discuss the topic. The presentations will held be in English.

Solent University is delighted to be hosting the 2021 Leisure Studies Association Virtual Conference focusing on leisure identities, health and wellbeing.We welcome scholars from a range of disciplines, as well as practitioners, to Solent University to discuss: 'What role does leisure play in addressing 'healthy' identities, for who, and for what purpose?’ The conference will take place online - further details to follow.

This conference aims to bring together scholars from around the world to present, discuss and exchange their ideas in all relevant aspects of sport. It will provide an effective interdisciplinary platform for academics, practitioners and independent scholars to share the most up-to-date research and innovations, as well as theoretical and practical challenges emerging in the exciting field of sports studies.

Abstracts are welcome on any area of philosophy of sport (broadly construed), including metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, and ethics, and from any theoretical approach, including analytic philosophy and critical theory. While IAPS recognizes, values, and encourages interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies, acceptance is contingent on the philosophical content of the project. Emerging scholars are encouraged to submit works in progress.

The World Congress of Performance Analysis of Sport, first held in Burton Manor, England in 1991, has a long history as an international, academic event. In 2021 the WCPAS will be celebrating its 30 year anniversary as a distinguished platform for both established academics and people of industry in the field of performance analysis. Over the course of four days, keynote speakers in both the field of performance analysis and computer science in sport will present their work at this Joint Congress.

The 8th ISPAH Congress will bring together thought-leaders, policy makers, community leaders, Indigenous elders, and researchers from over 30 countries for conversation, debate, and innovation based on the theme of “The Wholistic Approach to Health and Wellness through Physical Activity: Body, Spirit, and Mind.” A key objective of the conference will be to advance our knowledge of the benefits of physical activity for optimal health and well-being across the lifespan.

After a more than challenging past year, the ASAC conference organizers pose the question “How can research in business and management help people and organizations in Canada and around the world to prepare themselves for a future that promises to be significantly different—and continue to experience significant differences—than previously imaginable?” The Tourism & Sport Management (TSM) stream encourages various submission opportunities.
