The University of Ottawa is pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for the 17th Canadian Congress on Leisure Research, the triennial conference of the Canadian Association for Leisure Studies (CALS), which will take place in Ottawa, Canada, May 23-26, 2023. While Canadian leisure research has expanded and grown during the last half century there has been and there continues to be significant gaps and deficiencies in Canadian leisure research.

The 1st Applied Sport Management Association conference was held in Baton Rouge in 2016. Since that time, the ASMA conference has matured into a preeminent event for applied sport research, sport practitioner panels, student case study competitions, and student research competitions. The ASMA conference now attracts national and international audiences and in recent years has benefited tremendously from being hosted by schools such as Ball State, Baylor, Belmont, Samford, and Schreiner.

Hermed indbydes der til den femte konference i Dansk bevægelses- og idrætspædagogisk forskningsnetværk, BRIDGING. Målet er at bygge bro mellem alle som arbejder kvalitativt med idræt og bevægelse og mellem forskning, udvikling og praksis. Igen i år vil konferencen give mulighed for, at deltagerne kan få inspiration og deltage i spændende præsentationer og udviklende diskussioner med kollegaer fra de forskellige institutioner.

The CSSOR Program Committee welcomes high quality academic work on sport studies topics such as race, gender, politics, legacy, youth, or disability. Proposed research papers focusing on broader sociocultural topics within sport are welcomed in addition to research specifically addressing the Olympic Movement. Scholars in the fields of, for instance, history, philosophy, management, communication, ancient and modern languages, literature, and law are encouraged to submit proposals or attend the conference.

The 11th Czech Philosophy of Sport Conference will be held at the Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. We plan to organise a ‘physical’ meeting with a limited number of online presentations as exceptions. The conference will be in English and under the auspices of the Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. The International Association for Communication and Sport (IACS) invites you to submit your work for a presentation or panel discussion for the 2023 Summit on Communication and Sport. The IACS Summit is the only stand-alone conference for communication researchers interested in exploring sport from diverse critical, methodological, theoretical, and multi-disciplinary perspectives. The Summit welcomes submissions from all methodological and theoretical perspectives.

The National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) is now accepting proposals for the 2023 Annual Conference to be held January 4–7, 2023, at the Intercontinental Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference theme of “Connections: Leading for Good in a Post-Pandemic World” sets the stage for reconnection and reflection on lessons learned, challenges overcome, and opportunities discovered through the events of the recent past.

When several hundred international journalists, academics, sport leaders, athletes and others with an interest in international sports politics convene in Odense for the 2022 edition of Play the Game, it happens at a dramatic turning point in sports politics. After a major doping scandal and the invasion in Ukraine, Russia's power in sport is shrinking, and the question of who and what will fill the power gap left behind will be prominent on the conference’s agenda.
