The Nordic Research Network Women in a Digitized Sports Culture would like to invite you to a one day seminar on women coaches and referees. The seminar includes presentations by internationally renowned experts on women coaches and referees and will provide an arena for engagement between scholars and sports practitioners on the topic of technology and gender equity in coaching and refereeing.

Submissions on sport and Christianity, in all of its forms, are invited from scholars across a range of related disciplines (i.e., theology, religious studies, kinesiology, psychology, history, philosophy, ancient and modern languages, literature, anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, economics, and business) and from practitioners in fields such as: sports ministry and mission, sports chaplaincy, counselling, social work, and pedagogy/coaching.

The presence of significant global challenges defines our current era. Climate change, globalization, social segregation and the Covid-19 pandemic have exposed many of the faultlines in European and worldwide society. The 16th ENSE Forum in Guimaraes will focus on the role of sport, and in particular programmes and policies for the education of sport professionals, to address current societal challenges and seek to deliver answers concerning core questions.

Cycling and Society Research Group 2022 asks: what role can cycling play in questioning the emphasis on growth, lack of inclusivity, and relative neglect of Global South contexts? Accordingly, we seek submissions from cycling researchers who wish to engage with themes of sufficiency and no/de-growth; social value and its measurement; alternate qualities (e.g beyond speed, efficiency and directness); mobility justice and inclusivity; and post-colonial mobilities.

The 10th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference will focus on UN Agenda 2030 and the impact on health and well-being in the sustainability goals. The conference will emphasise Goal 3 – but also how it is impacting the other 16 goals. How can Agenda 2030 be understood from a health promotion perspective, and what efforts must be made to maintain sustainability beyond 2030?

The Sport Leadership Summit (SLS) provides emerging sport professionals an opportunity to engage with industry leaders. You’ll learn to identify best practices and apply relevant research while developing meaningful relationships with other sport professionals. The SLS will include panel discussions, keynote speakers, research presentations, and professional development sessions focused on equipping students for the next phases of their career development.

This Graduate Workshop seeks to investigate contemporary video games as an emergent space to be considered under the auspices of Area Studies, with special consideration given to practices, memory politics, and identity negotiation. By bringing together scholars and young professionals from a wide array of disciplines, we aim to advance the dialogue concerning methodological and conceptual approaches for video games in the humanities and social sciences.
