We encourage submissions that resist the imposition of the white gaze as the primary lens through which we theorize about sexuality, gender, and black athletes. The collection will explore how cultural narratives of blackness, gender, and sexuality remain entangled in, through, and against sport.
Second Call for Chapters | Digital Football Cultures | Eds. Stefan Lawrence and Garry Crawford
The proposed focus of the book will be on a range of conceptual and theoretical issues in football, especially those that emerge from or have been exacerbated by the digital turn. Each chapter should be guided by a theoretical framework and will address at least one of the following themes: Digital football fandom; Football and social media; Football (sub)cybercultures.
