    The collection will enable event management educators and learners to get access to a variety of teaching and learning practices. The scope of the case may vary contingent on the theory applied, the extent for use in a classroom, and pedagogical requisites. The goal is to be inclusive and comprise as many cases covering from a critical perspective various policy, functional and operational issues of event management and/or its intersection with tourism.

    Case topics may include, but are not limited to the Black Lives Matter movement; the COVID-19 pandemic, race, gender, politics & religion, corporate social responsibility; sex abuse and domestic violence; online gaming; corruption; corporate sponsorships; gays, lesbians transgender and bi-sexual issues; team name controversies; body image issues; and, tarnished images of sports figures.

    Call for Papers | “Sport Management in Emerging Markets”, Special Issue of Emerging Markets Case Studies. Call ends September 1, 2020

    We welcome submissions of quality discussion-based teaching case studies that examine recent management decisions faced by organizations operating within the sport industry in emerging markets. Cases about decisions related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sport management are encouraged, although this special issue will not focus exclusively on this crisis. The special issue will be published in 2021, for use by instructors globally.

    Case Studies in Sport Management (CSSM) is the only journal dedicated to case studies in sport management. The purpose CSSM is to enhance pedagogy in the discipline through the dissemination of teaching cases across varied topics, ant it serves as a searchable library of cases that instructors can use in incorporating the case method of learning into their classrooms.

    We're excited to announce a collaborative effort between AASP and Human Kinetics, Case Studies in Sport and Exercise Psychology (CSSEP). We're looking for our first edition to appear in October, 2016, so the call for submissions is on!
