The White Paper, Child Labour in Sport: Protecting the Rights of Child Athletes, was launched last week at the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour, held in Durban, South Africa. For those not able to attend the session live, a video of the session is available. The video concludes with some very interesting remarks by the South African Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr. Nkosinathi Emmanuel 'Nathi' Mthethwa.

Som doktorand kommer du vara knuten till forskarskolan Skola, sport, skärm: värdeladdade lärandepraktiker. Forskarskolan kommer att omfatta nio doktorander antagna vid forskarutbildningar vid Uppsala universitet, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan och Södertörns högskola. De doktorandprojekt som ska genomföras inom ramen för forskarskolan ska belysa barns och ungas användning och värdering av digitala medier och fysisk aktivitet i förhållande till olika former av lärande, skolans verksamhet och mål.

Unga vittnar om mer stillasittande liv under corona – ny forskning från Malmö universitet

I våras startade ett forskningsprojekt vid Malmö universitet med syfte att studera coronakrisens effekter på idrott och fysisk aktivitet. – Enkätsvaren vi har fått in visar att unga verkar röra sig mindre, säger Susanna Hedenborg, forskningsledare. Drygt 1100 personer har besvarat enkäten som forskarna skickade ut i april. 31 procent av de yngre mellan 16-20 år svarar att de har varit mindre aktiva under coronapandemin.

Et mål for forskningsprosjektet er å undersøke konsekvensene av den tydelige profesjonaliseringen som foregår i spillerutviklingen i norsk fotball. Norge henger forskningsmessig etter andre land innenfor tematikken «talentutvikling». Det vil derfor være av interesse å kontrastere funnene våre med studier gjort i andre land, som f.eks. Tyskland, England og Spania, men også til våre naboland Sverige, Danmark og Island.
