Sport scholar profile | Anna-Maria Strittmatter, Örebro universitet

Dr. Anna-Maria Strittmatter is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Management at Örebro University since August 2023. She gained her PhD in Sport Management in 2017. Anna-Maria has work experience as General Secretary at the World Snowboard Federation and as event organizer of international snowboard events. Her range of expertise includes sport political processes, sports’ internal organizing, social inclusion in decision making, sustainable development within sports, as well as Olympic legacy and leverage. A special focus is on youth sport and action sports.

Forskarprofil | Gunnar Breivik, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences

Gunnar Breivik is a Norwegian sociologist and philosopher. Breivik has worked with sports philosophy and ethical issues, and has studied physical activity in the population, extreme sports and human adaptation to extreme stress situations. He is concerned with the upbringing of children and young people in terms of challenges and physical activity and has for a number of years argued against a societal development that creates sedentary and passive people.
