Originating in the 1990s, VOLT Hockey began when the Crown Prince of Denmark helped fund the creation of a new sport, “equalizing the playing field” for youth of all abilities. Today, it provides accessible team-based play for individuals facing physical challenges like Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Osteoporosis, and Dwarfism. Played in the Danish-designed Hockey Sport Chair, VOLT Hockey requires only the manipulation of a joystick. (Image from the World Cup Volt Hockey FB page)
