The 6th International Conference on Qualitative Research in Sport and Exercise will be hosted by the School of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) on June 6-8, 2018.

Qualitative research in sport and exercise is growing. It is also increasingly celebrated for what it can offer academics, students, practitioners through insights into the meanings that people bring to their experiences of sport, physical activity, exercise and leisure. This conference is dedicated to promoting empirical inquiry, advancements in qualitative methods and debates about methodology, theory, presentation and practice.

We welcome qualitative researchers from all areas of sport and exercise. Past QRSE conferences have included submissions from the fields of sport and exercise psychology, sociology of sport, physical cultural studies, history, physical education, coaching, sports medicine, rehabilitation, health promotion, management and policy.

We invite abstracts for oral papers, symposia, posters and arts-based/visual methods exhibits or performances in the following areas related to the qualitative study of sport and exercise:
