The Sport Leadership Summit (SLS) provides emerging sport professionals an opportunity to engage with industry leaders. You’ll learn to identify best practices and apply relevant research while developing meaningful relationships with other sport professionals. Speakers will come from a variety of organizations and will address current industry topics. The SLS will include panel discussions, keynote speakers, research presentations, and professional development sessions focused on equipping students for the next phases of their career development.
The Department of Hospitality & Sport Management invites scholars, practitioners, and students to submit their work to be considered for the 2022 Sport Leadership Summit Research Sessions. This year, submissions from the following categories will be considered:

Submissions may include empirical research, teaching and learning, conceptual/theoretical work, or case studies. Submissions to the Sport Leadership Summit should not be concurrently submitted to another conference or have been previously presented at a conference. Submissions will be accepted via email until September 15, 2022 to sportleadershipsummit@liberty.edu. Presenters must be registered for the conference.
Overall Submission Guidelines

- Authors’ names should not appear on more than two submissions, regardless of co-authorship or type of presentation. An exception is made for authors who are serving as an advisor to a student who is submitting research; when listing authorship, the advisor should be clearly identified with the word “advisor” in parenthesis after their name.
- Abstracts should be submitted to sportleadershipsummit@liberty.edu
- Each submission should include the following information:
- The subject line should read: ‘SLS Presentation Abstract’
- Indicate preference for oral (15-20 minutes) or poster presentation.
- The lead author/presenter will be notified of acceptance or rejection no later than October 1, 2022.
Oral & Poster Presentation Guidelines

- Abstracts are limited to 300 words (including references). Authors should make an effort to minimize the use of citations in the abstract; however, any citations should be accompanied by a corresponding reference at the bottom of the abstract (not included in the word count).
- The abstract should include text only. Figures and tables are not acceptable.
