WADA has issued a call for proposals for its 2016 Social Science Research Grant Program after identifying three areas that would benefit from increased scientific knowledge and evidence.
Applicants, who can be from universities, colleges, small businesses, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, are asked to submit proposals on one of the following three areas:
- Developing intervention models based on up-to-date research findings
- The perception of legitimacy of anti-doping rules and organizations and its effect on athletes’ attitudes and buy-in to anti-doping programs
- Understanding deterrence measures for athlete support personnel
A further explanation of these three areas can be found on WADAGrants, the Research Grants application platform.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 13 July 2015 (00:00 GMT). All submissions will be evaluated by external peer reviewers, whose recommendations will then be examined by WADA’s Working Group and Education Committee before being presented to WADA’S Executive Committee for approval.
WADA will notify all applicants of the results in December 2015.
