“This special issue of The International Journal for the History of Sport contains some of the papers presented at the annual congress of the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport (ISHPES) in 2015. The congress theme was ‘Coming from the Past, Working in the Present, Looking to the Future: Aims, Topics and Results of Sport History’ and the event was organized by the Croatian Society for Sports History and the Split Sports Association, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Kinesiology, and the University of Split Faculty of Kinesiology, Croatia.”
