    Dear all,

Having spent a good part of the night following the fallout of Sunday’s general election, we got off to a slow start this morning. But we’re alive and on the go.
Last week the following items were published on idrottsforum.org (see below; language and publication dates, YYMMDD, in brackets). Click on the red headings to go to content. Utilize the Google Translate service to turn Scandinavian language pages into (some sort of) English.
    Have a great week,

(Book in Danish. review in Swedish published 220907)

Sports Diplomacy: Sports in the Diplomatic Activities of States and Non-State Actors by Michał Marcin Kobierecki

In Sports Diplomacy: Sports in the Diplomatic Activities of States and Non-State Actors (Lexington Books), Michał Marcin Kobierecki analyzes the place and role of sport within public diplomacy, including theoretical conceptualizations of the category of sports diplomacy as a sub-category of public diplomacy. Eminent sport historian Kristian Gerner is our reviewer, and he finds a comprehensive analysis of sport diplomacy suitable for readers new to the field as well as for knowledgeable readers who will gain new insights. (Review in English published 220908.)
