Stefan Lawrence’s edited collection Digital Wellness, Health and Fitness Influencers: Critical Perspectives on Digital Guru Media (Routledge) examines the phenomenon of ‘digital guru media’ (DGM)who post on the themes of wellness, health and fitness. Arélien Daudi finds that some chapters contribute with important insights into this increasingly nonignorable social avenue, while others simply lack the novelty, ingenuity, and scope to say much of meaning. He was left equal parts frustrated and educated.

In a new anthology from Routledge, Digital Football Cultures: Fandom, Identities and Resistance edited by Stefan Lawrence & Garry Crawford, a number of football scholars look at the digitalized future of the beautiful game. Our reviewer is Lise Joern, and she found interesting and critical insights to appreciate. She concludes, however, that technological development notwithstanding, much remains the same and is merely old wine in new bottles.

The International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics aims to publish articles that address all aspects of sport policy irrespective of academic discipline. Articles that adopt a multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary or comparative approach are particularly welcome.

Torbjörn Andersson beklagar att boken har ett så tydligt engelskt fokus, och att ”patetiska” fotbollsländer som USA och Australien får större tyngd än ledande europeiska nationer.
