The mission of Kinesiology Review is to advance the field of Kinesiology by publishing evaluative, insightful, and integrative scholarly reviews of kinesiology research, both basic and applied. Kinesiology Review encourages the submission of critical reviews, analysis of significant issues, position papers, and synthesis articles pertinent to kinesiology.

Sport History Review encourages the submission of scholarly articles, methodological and research notes, and commentaries. Because young scholars are critically important to the development of any discipline, SHR encourages graduate students and young professionals to submit their work for publication.

In keeping with the intention to foster broad debate, and productive and engaging dialogue, this is an open-themed conference and the organisers welcome a wider array on relevant historical contributions. BSSH and the local organizer as particularly keen this year to support Post-Graduate and Early-Career Researchers who are willing to present their research.

This call for papers focuses on innovative historical work on women and physical culture practices. Since the 1970s, there has been an increase in research and scholarship devoted to the topic. The editors encourage the submission of papers on the theme of women and physical culture practices from a range of temporal, geographic, methodological and thematic perspectives.

Denna termin har idrottshistoriska seminariet en ”arbetsinriktad” profil. Det betyder att vi ägnar oss åt strategi och planering, åt utveckling av nya forskningsidéer samt fördjupning och uppföljning av redan initierade processer och pågående forskning. Alla ni ”externa” gäster är förstås fortsatt mycket välkomna att delta på alla seminarier.

These positions were controversially discussed in the press, especially the last FIFA scandals, related to the World Cups in Russia (2018) and Qatar (2022).

Sport, History, Society is a peer-reviewed, academic publication of sport history. The journal invites researchers to contribute for the 2017 edition. Of particular interest this year are articles on PE or school sports (in a wide sense) with an historical approach or perspective.
