The conference is being organised by the Cricket Research Network (see below for a statement of aims), which is chaired by Dr Raf Nicholson. The conference will serve as the launch of the network, and all conference attendees will be encouraged to sign up to network membership. More information about the network will be provided during the conference. We are seeking short (maximum 20-minute) research-based presentations from anyone who has original research into cricket which they would like to share.

The organizers are interested in bringing together scholars who are interested in issues of gender equality in sport. We welcome submissions that address a variety of gender issues such as sexuality, body, identity, gender-based discrimination (including harassment and abuse), LGBTIQ+ experiences, as well as practices of exclusion and marginalization in sport, physical activity, and school physical education.

Founded in 2005, the working group aims for a transnational and interdisciplinary exchange of researchers with an interest in the study of sport and gender. The program of the 11th annual meeting focuses on sexism, discrimination, sexual harassment and violence studies in the field of Physical Education and sport, LGBTQ+, as well as leadership and coaches' perspectives.

Football, Education and Prejudice is a one day conference that will focus on the forms, effects, and outcomes relating to how prejudice in sport, particularly football, manifest themselves. We feel that it is vital for this event to be inter-disciplinary in outlook and we therefore encourage submissions from educationalists, historians, sociologists, cultural theorists and political scientists.
