Sports Coaching Review is an international peer-reviewed medium for the publication of articles related to sports coaching. It aspires to be a major focal point for the publication of sports coaching research throughout the world. The journal is mono, multi and interdisciplinary in approach. The International Review for the Sociology of Sport is a peer reviewed academic journal. Its main purpose is to disseminate research and scholarship on sport throughout the international academic community. The journal publishes research articles of varying lengths, from standard length research papers to shorter reports and commentary, as well as book and media reviews. 

Sport, Education and Society encourages contributions from social scientists and educationalists studying the relationships between pedagogy, ‘the body’ and society as well as from all professionals with theoretical and empirical interests relating to policy, curriculum, social inclusion, equity and identity, and progressive educational development in physical activity, health and sport.

Tre professorer inom norsk idrottsforskning, Ørnulf Seippel, Mari Kristin Sisjord och Åse Strandbu, står bakom den omfångsrika antologin Ungdom og idrett (Cappelen Damm Akademisk). Vi bad en svensk forskare med ett brinnande intresse för barn- och ungdomsidrott, Karin Redelius, att recensera boken, och vi fick en bred och kunnig översikt av en uppenbart bra och viktig bok.

This article is published in Scandinavian Sport Studies Forum (SSSF), a refereed, online and open access, academic journal for the study of sports in society, with a multi-disciplinary approach. SSSF is published by Malmö University as a companion to idrottsforum.org.

Paul Potrac, Wade Gilbert och Jim Denison står som redaktörer för Routledge Handbook of Sports Coaching, men de har inte satt in de 39 bidragen i handboken i ett sammanhang, vilket vår recensent Robert Svensson beklagar. Det blev en tvåsidig inledning till en 500-sidig bok.

Äntligen, menar Anders Östnäs, finns en idrottsvetenskaplig metodbok som utgår från den skandinaviska idrottspraktiken. Han syftar på Metoder i idrætsforskning, sammanställd av Lone Friis Thing och Laila Susanne Ottesen.
