The aim of the conference is to foster the exchange of ideas how to tackle homophobia, and how to create awareness of discrimination in sports, in particular in the framework of mega-sport events. We are inviting supporter groups, NGOs, athletes, football activists, national and international sport associations, academics, students and everybody who is interested to this conference.

Much of the research on the relationship between sport and masculinity in the 20th century documented how heterosexual men and boys were regulated by an orthodox form of masculinity. This handbook is intended to further examine the changing relationship between contemporary sports (broadly conceived) and masculinities.

Football, Education and Prejudice is a one day conference that will focus on the forms, effects, and outcomes relating to how prejudice in sport, particularly football, manifest themselves.
