Mads Skauge is a PhD candidate in sociology at Nord University (Bodø). His doctoral thesis deals with social inequality in Norwegian youth participation and activity in organized sports and at commercial gyms. His research interests and fields of expertise are mainly within sports sociology, social inequality, youth, sports, fitness, public health, sports politics, e-sports, talent selection, football and quantitative methods.

It is universally recognized that young football players are particularly vulnerable and deserve protection. Agents play a central role in assisting and protecting young players, which also places a special burden on agents working with young players. The event seeks to bring together football stakeholders and interested parties to discuss risks, problems, and solutions.

Drawing on research undertaken by members of the Football Collective, the 2019 Annual Conference will look to scrutinise the business of football to find solutions that will benefit clubs, their players, their fans and their local communities. This year's conference will also explore both the commercial and human benefits football can bring to the general population.

I forbindelse med at Norges eldste eksisterende fotballklubb markerer sitt 125-års jubileum i 2019, arrangerer Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge i samarbeid med Odds Ballklubb, Skien kommune og NFF Telemark et fagseminar med utgangspunkt i klubbens jubileumsbok, Helter i sort og hvitt - historien om Odds Ballklubb og byen gjennom 125 år.

Robert Svenssons syfte med avhandlingen är att undersöka den svenska manliga elitfotbollstränarens skiftande position i relation till förändrade förhållanden för elitfotboll mellan 1960 och 2010. Historien om den svenska fotbollstränaren analyseras utifrån det foucaultska perspektivet på styrning.
