This one day conference will be held on 8th March 2017 as part of the International Womens Day celebrations. The conference will appeal to a range of stakeholders in womens sport from governing bodies, policy makers, sports administrators, sports development roles, education and academics, coaches, participants and anyone interested in developing and promoting sport.

Which factors, such as racism, discrimination, financial advantage or hardship, propel or hinder an athlete’s achievements? This volume seeks to explore how the world of sports is often a microcosm of the real world and the many ways in which it uniquely reflects cultural and societal issues.
