    Martial arts, combat sports, and all forms of fighting in general, are globally overshadowed by the prejudice of violence and blood, inhabiting a black and degrading zone of irrationality. The conference ON FIGHT, focused on the relationship between Philosophy and Sport, seeks to constitute a horizon for specific or interdisciplinary reflections and contributions, promoting the sharing of research, critical thinking and practice.

In mere decades, MMA, mixed martial arts, has exploded as a worldwide phenomenon, a sport as controversial as it is compelling, one that demands serious philosophical attention. Abstracts are sought for a prospective anthology on the philosophical significance of MMA. An editor at Routledge has expressed interest in receiving a full proposal, to be submitted once abstracts have been finalized.
