Conference on physical education and movement science

As announced earlier, we have received NORDPLUS funds to organize a conference in the coming year – with the title

The 2^nd NORDPLUS-IDROTT Conference

Next practice in physical education and movement science.

The event will take place at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, May 6^th-8^th 2013. The start time will be afternoon on the 6^th  and finalizing May 8^th at about 15.00. The conference is followed by a Nordplus-Idrott network meeting in the afternoon and evening, May 8^th.

The conference will include key-notes speeches, practical and theoretical workshops, round-table discussions, poster presentations. It will also be possible to meet in the networks attached to Nordplus Idrott (cf.http://www.sdu.dk/en/om_sdu/institutter_centre/iob_idraet_og_biomekanik/samarbejde/nordplusidrott).

The conference will cover a variety of themes – among them:

• Physical activity and cognition
• Developments in pedagogical praxis in relation to  Physical Education (PE)
• Integrating physical activity in the school day
• Culture and human movement
• Physical activities and new technologies
• Applied Biomechanics and ICT

Please inform your colleagues about the coming opportunity to engage in exciting scholarly exchanges with old and new colleagues from the Nordic region. In the next months you will receive a first and second announcement – including further information concerning content issues, venue and registration procedures.
