The Group of Olympic Studies at the University of Sao Paulo hereby invites author to submit papers for the Journal of Olympic Studies – Olimpianos. From 2019, the journal has a continuous stream publishing. In practical terms, this means that as soon as a paper is reviewed, approved and edited, it will be published. Papers can be submitted in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
The purpose of the journal is to provide a channel for communication and academic dissemination within Olympic and Paralympic studies.
The scope s directed in 3 broad areas:

- Humanities and Olympic Studies: in this session are concentrated the studies that contemplate the historical, sociological, philosophical, geographical perspectives and other approaches whose discussion has as parameter the human sciences;
- Governance and Olympic Studies: the proposal of this session is related to topics close to administration, law and public policies;
- Communication, marketing and Olympic studies: this session comprises all fields social communication such as journalism, advertising and publicity, marketing, networks and social media related to the Olympic universe.
The journal is Open Access, allowing the user also has free access to all articles published. We do not charge fees for sending or posting manuscripts. Copyright are distributed from the Creative Commons license (CC BY – 4.0). The manuscript submission system is in continuous flow, may be submitted at any time. The evaluation of manuscripts is the blind review system by peers review. Accepted papers for publication and had closed the editorial procedures will immediately be published in the electronic version (Ahead of Print).
Olimpianos will be included in the journal coverage of idrottsforum.org from now on.
