The British Society of Sports History (BSSH), Scottish Network, is pleased to invite you to ‘Histories of Scottish Sport, Leisure and Tourism’, a one-day symposium in at the Highland Archive Centre, Inverness, in partnership with the University of the Highlands and Islands.
The series seeks to highlight new work in the field of the history of sport, leisure and tourism – broadly defined. Papers from emerging scholars, community historians, as well as museum and heritage practitioners, would be particularly welcome.
Abstracts should be no longer than 200 words, and should be sent to BSSH Scotland (email:bssh.scotland@hotmail.co.uk) by Sunday, 15 June 2014.
The programme will be posted on the Scottish Leisure History blog (http://scottishleisurehistory.wordpress.com/) shortly after abstracts are submitted. We also invite all those speaking to submit a version of their paper for the blog.
