Olympika: The International Journal of Olympic Studies invites graduate students to write a journal article review for its next volume (Vol. 29, 2020). If you are interested, please contact Andrew Pettit, Journal Article Review Editor at apettit3@uwo.ca, no later than October 7, 2020.
Interested reviewers are encouraged to consult with the Journal Article Review Editor before writing an article review. A list of pre-approved articles will be provided to consult upon request.
Olympika is particularly interested in reviews of articles that consider the socio-cultural study of doping and the Olympic Games. Articles that are suggested by potential reviewers which are not on the pre-approved list will also be considered.
Olympika is the official peer-reviewed journal of the International Centre for Olympic Studies at Western University in London, Ontario. The journal seeks to publish rigorous scholarly articles on the historical, sociological, philosophical, and management dimensions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Olympic Movement more broadly.
The Journal Article Review sections offers graduate students a platform to engage in scholarly discourse on important Olympic issues while also providing an opportunity to enhance their CV with a written review credit.
Please note: Journal Article Reviews are typically between 500 and 750 words.
