AISTS stands for Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport or International Academy of Sports Science and Technology in English. AISTS was established in the year 2000, and is a not for profit foundation incorporated in Switzerland under Swiss private law (art. 80 of the Swiss Civil Code). AISTS office and courses are based on the campus of the EPFL, the Olympic Capital, Switzerland, on the shore of Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Swiss Alps. It’s an interdisciplinary centre of excellence in sport management providing education, consulting and a platform of connections in the sports world. The AISTS integrates scientific knowledge from multiple sciences (management, technology, law, medicine, sociology to name a few) and knowledge from federations, athletes, events hosts, governments, agencies, industry etc. in order to develop excellence and responsibility among managers and leaders of sport stakeholders.

Through a multi-disciplinary approach, participants master the fundamental areas of Management & Economics, Sports Medicine, Technology, Law and Sociology over 14-months, while studying in the heart of the Olympic Capital, Lausanne, Switzerland.
With a faculty of over 140 lecturers and speakers from both industry and academia, AISTS MSA graduates are well informed and well equipped to take on the challenging and complex issues of today’s sporting landscape.
Graduates go on to work for high profile sports organisations, such as the International Olympic Committee, National Olympic Committees, Organising Committees, and a large number of International Sports Federations including FIFA, the International Volleyball Federation, World Rowing, FINA and more.
Applications for the 2015 intake are now open. The first deadline for the consideration into the 2015 programme is 1 May 2014. Scholarships are also available.
