Landgraff konkluderer med at til dømes intervalltrening er mykje mindre viktig for uthaldet hos unge enn hos eldre. Årsaken er at sjølve voksteren tek seg av å auke oksygenopptaket, og dette er lite påverka av kva ein trener. Og det får konsekvensar for kva trenarar og også foreldre bør leggje vekt på.
