Excellent study of development of football in Europe during the Second World War

In the anthology European Football During the Second World War: Training and Entertainment, Ideology and Propaganda by Markwart Herzog and Fabian Brändle, an international team of authors examines the development of football during the Second World War in a dozen European states. Our reviewer is Alon K. Raab, who finds the book comprehensive and important.

Ett nyligt gräv bland gamla recensionsböcker frambringade vad som närmast får betraktas som ett fotbollshistoriskt fynd. 2014 utgavs The FIFA World Cup 1930–2010: Politics, Commerce, Spectacle and Identities, sammanställd av Stefan Rinke & Kay Schiller (Wallstein Verlag).
