SSSF, a multidisciplinary social sciences sport studies journal, welcomes articles that deal with sport and social change and social stability in a wide sense, articles about the profound and comprehensive processes affecting sport. The Forum Editor’s pick from the current issue: Reflections from CrossFitters on the themes of body and community by Arild Boge, Ove Olsen Sæle & Hilde Stokvold Gundersen (open access).

The aim of this study by Madelene Nordlund, Kim Wickman and Staffan Karp was to map the major organizational change that is currently taking place in Swedish sports, with people labelled with disabilities leaving the Swedish Para-sport Federation (SPF) to participate in mainstream sports under the Swedish Sports Confederation. The study aimed to outline the expectations of this ongoing process of the stakeholders of the SPF.

The considerable growth of interest in commerce, media and politics and their relationship to sport in international academia has resulted in academics in various disciplines writing about sport. Sport in Society is a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary forum for academics to discuss the growing relationship of sport to significant areas of modern life.
