Psychology of Sport and Exercise, Vol. 49, July 2020

Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum for scholarly reports in the psychology of sport and exercise, broadly defined. The Forum Editor’s pick from the current issue: THE REBALANCING ACT: INJURED VARSITY WOMEN ATHLETES’ EXPERIENCES OF GLOBAL AND SPORT PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING by Lisa R. Trainor, Peter R.E. Crocker, Andrea Bundon, Leah Ferguson.

Kajsa Gilenstam is both really excited by and somewhat disappointed with Jacky Forsyth & Claire-Marie Roberts’ edited work The Exercising Female: Science and Its Application (Routledge). While the chapters together give us a better insight into the topic and really make for an important book for those interested in sport and exercise for women, she writes, there are also instances of gender biased assumptions.

Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health, Volume 12, 2020, Issue 2

Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health is a landmark publication – it is the first international journal solely dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of qualitative research in the sport, exercise, and health sciences. Editor’s pick from the current issue: EXPLORING THE MULTIFACETED ROLE OF CREATIVITY IN AN ELITE FOOTBALL CONTEXT by Ludvig Johan Torp Rasmussen, Vlad Petre Glăveanu & Lars Domino Østergaard.
