We wish to welcome researchers, educators, graduate students and professionals from all over the world in Alanya/Antalya to present their papers and contribute to the 2nd International Physical Education, Sports, Recreation and Dance Congress. The language of the symposium is Turkish and English. Papers, posters, panels and workshops will be evaluated.

As the leading association for sport marketers, the SMA is dedicated to developing mutually beneficial relationships between professionals, academicians, and students around the world through the creation, distribution, and implementation of sport marketing knowledge via networking, scholarly activities, and career opportunities. We are a private, non-profit organization.

The Seville 2019 conference theme is “Connecting Sport Practice and Science”. To that end, submissions that particularly, but not exclusively, relate to the conference theme are encouraged. Contributors have the opportunity to present in Parallel Sessions, Workshops, and attractive Poster Sessions during the conference.

Konferansen arrangeres for åttende gang på Norges idrettshøgskole, torsdag 6. og fredag 7. juni 2019. Hensikten med konferansene er å samles rundt ny forskning, utveksle erfaringer og etablere nye nettverk. Målgruppe for konferansen er lærere som underviser i kroppsøving og idrettsfag og ansatte og studenter ved høgskoler og universitet.

International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women (IAPESGW) is an organisation with a primary aim to support and bring together like-minded professionals from around the world who are working in the fields of physical education, dance and sport. Founded in 1949, it now has members in every continent of the world, in over 40 countries.

The 13th edition of the conference will be an opportunity to reflect on sport beyond the celebrations of national sporting victories, the fixation on elite sport, and the popularity of a few famous athletes. Could sport deliver to societies in Africa the social cohesion, national unity, social and economic development that its proponents often claim or assume?

The world is in state of rapid transformation. Sports are not excluded from these accelerated political, structural and cultural changes. Rather, sports play a part in these rapid transformations. This conference aims to bring forward perspectives that could enlighten our understanding of sports and the environment through a broad spectrum of social scientific enquiries.

Scholars are invited to submit sessions including three abstracts related to the main topic, or individual abstracts on a subtopic. Abstract submission is exclusively via email. A thematic session includes three papers relating to one topic.Presenters need to be an ISHPES member to present a paper, and a person can only present one paper as first author.

The date of the conference coincides with the day the UK is set to leave the European Union. We would especially welcome papers that explore the potential impact of Brexit on sport and its role in the wider politics of identity in the UK and Europe. However, the conference is not restricted to neither Brexit nor UK sport-politics. Submissions that deal with all aspects of sport, politics and identity, from all relevant disciplines, are welcome. 

This seminar investigates football’s role in discourses on culture, history, and politics in connection to topics such as aesthetics, gender roles, disability, religion, class, economics, and collective identities. We are particularly interested in applications from a broad range of disciplines and perspectives related to football. We also encourage proposals from participants at all career stages.
