Den aktuella doktorandtjänsten är kopplad till projektet “EASY” (Exploring Alternative movements my StYle)”, som genom en intervention undersöker hur alternativa rörelseaktiviteter kan bidra till ökad fysisk aktivitet och välbefinnande hos inaktiva barn. Projektet har en tydlig samhällsrelevans och genomförs i nära samverkan med skolor och fritidsaktörer. Forskningsplanen ska utformas i relation till det aktuella projektet och kommer att ligga till grund för bedömningen av din lämplighet för forskarstudier.

The overall aim of this thesis is twofold. First, the thesis aims to gain insight into adolescents’, from a multicultural community of low socioeconomic status, views on physical activity. Second, the thesis aims to describe and problematize the development and implementation of an empowerment-based school intervention, in a Swedish multicultural community of low socioeconomic status.
